Pay It Forward

Innovation That Goes Beyond The Boardroom

We believe the work we do should extend beyond the lab and the boardroom.

While we partner with leaders and organisations to help build and guide the next era of innovation and ideas, our long-term intention is to ensure that the value, impact, and opportunity created through this work reaches further, into communities, regions, and systems where access to technology, education, and opportunity remains limited.

We aim to be transparent about where we are, where we’re going, and how we plan to get there. And as we are trusted to help shape and hold the dreams of others, it’s only right that we share our own.

What we’re working toward

Our long-term vision is to develop Pay It Forward as an integrated part of RHC’s work, ensuring that the innovation we help create contributes to an equitable and accessible future for all.

This work will focus on three core areas, aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Tech for good: supporting solutions that address real-world challenges

  • Education: expanding access to skills, mentorship, and learning pathways

  • Equitable innovation: ensuring more people can participate in and benefit from technological progress

At its core, this is about one underlying idea: when we innovate, this innovation should reach beyond the boardroom.

Our Approach: Crawl, Walk, Run

To bring this vision to life, we apply the same strategic discipline we use with our clients, building this work sustainably and with intention.

This is how we plan to get there →

  • We embed “pay it forward” directly into how we operate in our day-to-day.

    • A portion of revenue from client projects is donated to aligned charities working in related domains

    • The same amount is matched and held in reserves to support our future impact initiatives

    • Our For The Curious resources are freely available, offering tools, thinking, and ideas that support independent innovation at any age or stage.

This ensures immediate impact while building a foundation of financial capacity, shared knowledge, and the structures that sustain our work.

  • We focus on connecting ideas, people, and systems across different contexts.

    • Producing research that contributes to broader systems thinking and future-facing innovation

    • Partnerships with organisations, researchers, and initiatives working across aligned domains

    • Developing early-stage concepts and ventures into real-world applications

Here we extend capability outward, linking insight, collaboration, and emerging solutions so they can be tested and developed in context.

  • Our North Star is to develop dedicated programs that deliver long-term, on-the-ground impact in developing regions.

    • Deliver hands-on work in developing regions by applying RHC’s strategic and advisory capabilities

    • Invest in local education ecosystems through school resources, scholarships, and university partnerships

The intention is not just to provide support but to enable agency, ensuring that those closest to the challenges have the resources, knowledge, and access to shape their own solutions.

Looking Ahead

We’re sharing this because it matters to us that our work has meaning beyond immediate outcomes. It also matters that the organisations we work with understand what we’re personally working towards.

As we grow and settle into building the next era, this page will evolve with us. We’ll share our progress, learnings and opportunities to get involved over time. But in the meantime, you can explore our first venture, The Water Project.

This is our commitment to build a future where innovation, knowledge, and opportunity are more widely shared, so that everyone can experience the ideas and dreams that land in their head.
